Midfielder Steven Brisbane scored to maintain an unbeaten start to Falkirk’s pre-season exploits.
The youngster rattled a shot in off the bar to cancel out Daniel Park’s early strike for Formartine United.
The Highland League outfit’s forward should have had a second when he ran clear of Craig Comrie but blasted straight at Michael McGovern.
Falkirk improved in attack as half-time approached, Haworth sending a deflected free-kick over and Liam Dick going close to knocking in from the corner.
Again Neil Macfarlane and Stevie Crawford rang the changes from the bench during the interval, as they had done in Satuirday’s 3-0 win at Stirling.
This time they made six but didn’t take midfield maestro Brisbane off, and he saw out 90 minutes along with Craig Comrie, Liam Rowan and Dale Fulton.
He made sure the dug-out duo’s faith in him was rewarded by cracking in an equaliser on 63 minutes.
The impressive Connor McGrandles crossed into the box and one of Falkirk’s trialist midfielders’ headers fell perfectly for Brisbane to rocket a shot in off the bar.
Jordan White should have nodded the Bairns in front a minute later but sent his header inches wide.
Brisbane too went close, rattling the crossbar again but the ball bounced clear and Falkirk survived a few late scares to see out a 1-1 draw in game one of the training tour.
