Tom Taiwo could still feature for Falkirk in Friday’s Scottish Cup quarter final despite his horrific head knock last week.
The Bairn clashed with Rangers’ Kyle Hutton in the second half of the 1-1 draw and Taiwo took a hefty blow to the head.
Team-mates Will Vaulks and Luke Leahy rushed to his aid as blood poured from Hutton’s nose after the accidental collision.
Taiwo was treated and then played on but substituted shortly afterwards and his condition monitored.
However he is now midway through a five-day assessment period and, should he complete all aspects and return to full training by the end of the week, he would be free for selection by boss Peter Houston.
The Bairns will definitely be without Taiwo’s fellow midfielder Mark Kerr who is cup tied, as is striker John Baird.
