Bairns fans snap up 6,000 Cup final tickets

Fears over the crowd filling Hampden for Falkirk’s Scottish Cup final meeting with Inverness were defied by the Bairns’ supporters yesterday.

Queues snaked around The Falkirk Stadium as briefs were made available for season ticket holders.

The Falkirk Herald understands more than 6,000 were snapped up on day one of sales, with season ticket holders still eligible to purchase seats at the National Stadium in their exclusive sale period until Saturday.

Public sale begins on Monday and the Bairns have been forced to head to Glasgow to collect more briefs to hand out to customers today.
