EAST Stirlingshire boss Jim McInally has been named Irn Bru Manager of the month for January.
The gaffer picked up his award last week after steering the Shire to three wins in three league games throughout last month.
That feat would have been bettered had red tape not scuppered Shire’s date with Brechin in the Scottish Cup after the club were removed for fielding unregistered goalkeeper Michael Andrews in the win over Buckie Thistle.
The Shire boss believes the cup exertions are over-shadowing the team’s current performances.
He claims his team’s lack of confidence against Queen’s Park and Albion Rovers is partly down to the SFA’s decision to boot Shire out of the cup.
