Brown Ferguson believes that referee Alan Muir got his decisions spot on despite Morton claiming they could have been awarded no less than four penalties.
The Stenhousemuir assistant manager had sympathy for Ton fans but does not want to detract from the performance of his own players in securing the three points.
“I felt each of the penalty claims was 50-50,” he said.
“I can understand why the referee has decided not to give them, but as they all came within such a short space of time I can understand why Morton fans feel aggrieved, as they would have expected at least one of them to be given.
“But what should be remembered is that for the first 60 minutes of the match it was all about us. We were playing with the kind of tempo that we want to see each week.”
The Warriors management team this week encouraged their players to match that work rate when they welcome Stranraer to Ochilview on Saturday.
“It will be a tough game, this is a very tight league and we have to be ready to match our opponents every week,” Ferguson continued.
“We need to get the ball in the final third and make sure we take our chances.”
