Falkirk have been served up a tough task on the opening day of season 2011-12.

The Bairns must travel to Stark’s Park and face Raith Rovers on the opening day of the Irn-Bru First Division.

The following week, on August 13, they return home to host Partick Thistle before a trip to newly promoted Ayr United’s Somerset Park ground.

Matches with relegated SPL side Hamilton and league favourites Dundee come on the first day of October and September 17 respectively.

The Bairns longest trips, to Ross County and Queen of the South, are scheduled for November 12 and December 17.

Their league season finishes with a home match against Ayr on May 5, 2012.
