Falkirk swimmer Char "Lotte" of success

FALKIRK FIRST swimming squad has a superstar within its ranks.

Charlotte McKenzie (14) was recently awarded West District Swimming's trophy for the Most Promising Junior, and lived up to her title at the Scottish National Short Course Championships.

She earned a gold medal in the ladies' 50m backstroke – and became the Scottish Senior and Junior Champion at the same time.

She also took silver in the 200m backstroke and became Scottish Junior

Champion in that category too.

Then, she picked up gold in the 14 years-and-under 100m individual medley. In addition to all of this, Charlotte finished fourth in the A final of the 100m backstroke, setting a new Scottish Age Group record.
