Falkirk’s match against East Fife this Saturday is in doubt after the club’s Westfield home was damaged by high winds.

Falkirk’s match against East Fife this Saturday is in doubt after the club’s Westfield home was damaged by high winds.

Gale force winds on Tuesday caused widespread damage across central Scotland and The Falkirk Stadium was amongst the buildings affected.

The perimeter fence alongside the pitch has been blown over, with contractors on site today to erect a replacement.

The front area of the Main Stand has also been closed to the public after several large panels became lose and are in danger of falling on to the seats below.

A safety inspection will take place tomorrow morning and a decision will then be made on whether Saturday’s game can take place.
