Murdoch: We set up to frustrate Thistle

Waiting for Video...

Falkirk fought out a 0-0 draw and Stewart Murdoch admitted he was disappointed the Bairns couldn’t notch a goal on the break.

The midfielder had two chances that narrowly missed the target in the second half as Falkirk defended deeply before springing into a counter-attack system.

It was a plan the players ahad been working to all week, as boss Steven Pressley, caprtain Darren Dods and midfield man Murdoch revealed when they spoke to Falkirk TV after the game.

Elsewhere Stenhousemuir were on the wrong end of a nine-goal thriller for Brechin, going down 7-2 at Glebe Park.

East Stirlingshrie were also involved in a high scoring game at Annan with the home side consigning John Coughlin’s side to a 5-2 defeat.

More on all these games in The Falkirk Herald this week.
