Midfielder Mark Millar will remain at The Falkirk Stadium.
The club announced an extension to the loan agreement with Dundee United this afternoon.
Millar has featured in every game for the Bairns since returning to the club in early November.
His arrival co-incided with a purple patch for the Bairns who are now well-placed in the Championship’s top-three.
The deal runs until May 31 and should allow Millar to complete the season with the Bairns - including the Championship play-offs should the Bairns finish second, third or fouth in the league.
After making his return to the Bairns - the club he left to join Dundee United in June 2012 - Millar said: “I just want to play games and if I get that at Falkirk all the better - it’s a club that holds a special place for me. I’ve had good times here.
“If I’m playing and the clubs can agree I’d be happy to stay longer than a few months and see out the season.
“The aim is to get games and help Falkirk as high up the league as possible.”
