Falkirk have a second vacancy to fill after Michael McGovern moved to Hamilton this morning.
The goalkeeper, and club captain, signed for his local side on a one year deal after returning from international duty with Northern Ireland.
It means the Bairns have no goalkeeper, no captain and no manager following Gary Holt’s defection to Norwich a week ago.
The Bairns are undertaking the managerial interviews this week, with Peter Houston already being sounded out for the position.
A shortlist proposed by a national newspaper including David Moss, Jamie McGowan, Colin Cameron and Russell Latapy has been circulated online this morning, however The Falkirk Herald understands the Trinidadian fans’ favourite has not applied for the role but does not rule out the Bairns turning their attentions to the ‘Little Magician’ should their attempts to lure Houston fail.
However, some names in that group fly in the face of the club’s plan for an ‘experienced’ man to replace Holt.
