Falkirk go down on day of mixed results

Waiting for Video...

There was a full card of league fixtures across the divisions at the weekend with a mixed bag of results for the district’s senior and junior teams.

Father and son photographers Gordon and Gregor Whyte captured the action at Dens Park as Falkirk slipped to a 3-1 defeat against Dundee.

Stenhousemuir’s hopes achieving a play-off place took a knock as they crashed 3-0 at home to Airdrie United, where Herald snapper John Devlin was in attendance.

Shire came unstuck at Hampden as they were thrashed 5-1 by promotion-chasing Queen’s Park.

Meanwhile, Alan Murray was behind the man behind the lens as Dunipace Juniors beat St Anthony’s 2-1 in the Central League First Division.

Falkirk Juniors kept up their promotion push with a 2-1 win at home to Dunbar United.

See Thursday’s Falkirk Herald for full reports and reaction to all the games.
