Bairns held while Warriors maintain push

Waiting for Video...

An even spread of results was achieved by the district’s three senior football teams at the weekend.

There was a win for Stenhousemuir, a draw for Falkirk and East Stirlingshire lost.

Winning at Dumbarton was vital to the Warriors’ promotion play-off hopes, and Queen of the South’s survival hopes were helped by their battling point achieved when Falkirk visited Dumfries.

East Stirlingshire’s hopes of moving off Scottish football’s basement position suffered though in the 1-0 win for Clyde at Ochilview.

In the Juniors only Falkirk JFC recorded a win - against Pumpherston. Dunipace lost 3-1 at Lanark United and St Andrews United left Camelon’s Carmuirs Park with a 1-0 win.

The Falkirk Herald was at each of the games, and photographers captured a selection of the action here.
