Scottish fishing legend Paul Young has been named honourary president of Swanswater Cygnets angling club.
The junior club, based at the Stirling fishery, meets every second Sunday for fly-fishing lessons before seeking out Rainbows, Browns, Blues, Golden Trout and, starting this year, Tiger trout.
The club caters for youngsters aged eight to 16 and chairman Angus McDougall said: “Paul passes on a wealth of knowledge during each visit and has been known to have a cast or two.
“The Cygnets benefit from tips on flies and casting technique, and the odd story creates a laugh too.
“We are very grateful to Paul for his association with the club and look forward to many productive seasons ahead”.
The Cygnets are welcoming new members.
