FALKIRK Amateurs followed up their East of Scotland Cup success last week with a 6-3 win over Camelon Thistle on Monday evening.
The side are now chasing a clean sweep of domestic trophies, requiring three wins in their remaining four league matches to land a sixth consecutive league title.
Falkirk secured their first piece of silverware on Saturday when they defeated Steins Thistle 5-0 at Almondvale Stadium in Livingston to land the East of Scotland Cup.
Coach Stephen McBride hailed his side’s achievement after seeing off many of the district’s leading amateur sides en route to the trophy.
He said: “I thought it was a real team performance at Livingston, every player performed to the top of their ability.
“We’ve defeated some quality teams on the way to winning the cup, including a number of the big Edinburgh clubs.
“We last won the East of Scotland Cup in 2006, but this is a totally new side.
“I’d also like to thank our sponsor Billy Beattie for all his support.”
