Jonny Bunyan paid tribute to team-mate Scott Russell who hauled Fury to a 70-59 win over St Mirren in the Scottish Cup final.
Russell was a key man throughout the final at The Lagoon, and sank four free throws and scored a lay-up in the closing stages of the game to put Fury out of sight.
The Clark Eriksson sponsored side had led for most of the game but, like the league title race this season, John Bunyan’s Falkirk team failed to shake St Mirren off until late on.
Jonny Bunyan said: “Scott was the difference in the final quarter.”
It is the second time in four years that Fury have lifted the trophy and they can successfully defend their league championship title with a win on Saturday at Boroughmuir Blaze.
