Fury’s rising stars had a mixed weekend in the final stages of the east-central leagues with the under-12 boys taking three wins from four, giving them second spot for the season.
A key win for Fury was over Stirling Knights 36-21. This win pushed Knights to third and Fury into the final where they play Boroughmuir Blaze. Jamie McAllister hit a game high 12 points over the Knights with Jordan Ferguson scoring 21 over Blaze A.
The Falkirk side’s under-16 boys defeated Boroughmuir in the semi-final of their competition and now play Stirling in the final. Fury made the final without three key players.
There were gold section semi-final losses for Fury in the under-14 age groups with both teams going down to Highland. In the girls match - Emma Norval hit 13 points with Chloe McKay on 12. The boys game saw a great team effort with Fury competing well in the half court but caught out too often in transition.
In the under-12 girls final league games of the season, Fury’s Caitlin Owens, Gemma Anderson, Chloe Wickstrom and Jennifer Clark showed that they will be key players for Fury in the future with solid performances in their matches.
