Clark Eriksson Fury Junior Men started their Division One National league season with two wins – 69-65 away in Perth and 75-55 at home to St.Mirren.

The Perth game saw Fury go down 29-6, however an incredible comeback saw the Falkirk side rally and win in the closing seconds. Scotland International Fraser Malcolm was outstanding with 29 points and 19 rebounds.

The St.Mirren match at the Mariner was an easier affair with Fury winning by 20.

Malcolm again led his team with another double-double of 20 points and 20 rebounds. Malcolm could well be heading for the States next season and his early season form shows he will be more than capable of playing across the pond!

As a team the Falkirk side took an impressive 41 defensive rebounds against the Paisley outfit.

Also contributing well were the ever improving Ali McDermidd with 15 points, Lithuanian Eddy Leginus with 12 points and seven assists. 6ft 7”centre Rory Wilson came out on fire with 10 points in four minutes and guard Graham Bruce – perhaps Fury’s most improved player - contributed with seven points. This week-end sees the Juniors face title rivals Tayside Musketeers on the road.
