PAUL TYRELL will need to start finding some more space for his growing collection of trophies.
Following an outstanding season, the ever-present Stenhousemuir star claimed another clutch of awards.

Tyrell, or 'Bucket' as he's known to his team-mates, led the way for virtually the entire campaign in Heraldsport's Starshot listings for the Ochilview club.

The midfielder finished on 217 points when the 36 league fixtures were concluded on April 26 with a 5-1 away victory over Elgin City – a game Tyrell scored in.

His Starshot trophy had already been tied up one week before though, and was handed over by Warriors correspondent Arthur McTague.
But the awards still kept coming.

At the club's annual dinner, Tyrell, who joined the Warriors from East Stirlingshire in the summer of 2006, was crowned player of the season for the second year running.

He also won the players' player of the year gong as well as the supporters club award.

Meanwhile, Derek Ure took the Starshot trophy for Shire after claiming a total of 203 points throughout the season.

The 23-year-old Falkirk-born attacking midfielder has been a rock in the Firs Park team – helping them to avoid finishing bottom of the
Third Division for the first time since 2002.

Ure was presented with his trophy on the final day of the season by Shire correspondent Tadek Kopszywa and went on to be named the club's player of the year and players' player of the year.

Starshot trophies are decided by each player being given a rating out of 10 for every league game they play in.

The running totals are then compiled and printed in Heraldsport during the campaign. Falkirk FC's winner is still to be decided but East Stirlingshire and Stenhousemuir's final listings were as follows:
