STENHOUSEMUIR will make an offer
to former Morton and Stirling striker,
Alex Williams, but admit they may
lose out in the race for his signature.

The 27-year-old featured strongly in
the Warriors' 1-0 defeat against Raith
Rovers in the last of their pre-season
friendly matches on Tuesday night at
Ochilview.

But manager, John Coughlin, is
realistic enough to know the lure of
full-time football may be too strong
for the signing target to resist.

"Alex has always been full-time
throughout his career," he said of
Williams who has also featured for Ayr
and Clyde over the years and has just
ended a spell in the League of Ireland.

"He says he is looking for something
in the central belt to be close to his
family."

However, Coughlin admits other teams are interested in the striker and he may be helpless to lure him to Ochilview.
