Following Saturday's win, the Tryst side are now on a six-match unbeaten run in the SCU League Division One.
The latest points were extracted in a match sponsored by Donald McNichol's Dentists, with Freuchie the opponents at home.
Winning the t
oss and electing to bat, things progressed steadily for the visitors.
They put on 46 for the first wicket and 82 before losing their second and third in consecutive overs, the wickets shared between the bowlers.
A partnership of 78 then developed between Gourlay and Birrel and was looking ominous until the former was brilliantly run out by Glenn Rogers for 39 with the score on 160 in the 43rd over.
Thereafter, as Freuchie attempted to cash in with some late runs, their effort was thwarted by some tight bowling and the subsequent, steady fall of wickets – eventually closing their innings on 190 for eight, off their allotted 50 overs.
The wickets were evenly spread between all five bowlers, who were supported by some excellent fielding – restricting Freuchie to a below par score for the Tryst.
Stenhousemuir's innings, however, got off to a slow start in the face of some tight bowling as well.
And, when Dirom was out for three with the score on nine, followed by fellow opener Rakshit – also for three with the score on 13 in the eighth over – a partnership was needed to get the run chase back on
track.
So up stepped professional Craig Thyssen, ably assisted by Glenn Rogers, and the pair put on a comfortable 61 for the third wicket to take the total to 74 before Rogers was given out, harshly it appeared, after adjudged lbw.
Yet Thyssen carried on the recovery with veteran Pete Moses and, with the scoreboard rattling round with Thyssen in six-hitting mode (five in his eventual innings of 68), things were looking good.
But he was then dismissed, also lbw, with the score on 110 and work still had to be done to secure the victory.
Moses (45 not out) and 19-year-old Trinidadian all-rounder Jeewan Ramroop (42 not out), though, batted superbly and put together a match-winning partnership of 83 with the best part of three overs to spare.
The run chase was controlled and superbly timed, capping an all-round performance by the whole team when batting, bowling and fielding.
So this Saturday's match sees the 1st XI going for SEVEN in a row with a Division One match away to Penicuik, the league's third bottom side.
