ARNAU Rierahas agreed to return to Falkirk on a season-long loan, according to his agent.
The Spanish midfielder had been considering his options over the summer after completing a similar spell with the Bairns from Sunderland.

Riera was told that he was surplus to requirements at The Stadium of Light and the 26-year-old former Barcelo
na B captain trained with
Blackpool earlier this month but was not keen on a move.

However, it appears that Riera - who has been involved with Falkirk's pre-season programme at the University of Stirling this week - has decided to return to Westfield for season 2008-09.

"Arnau is delighted to be moving back to Falkirk," his agent Craig
Honeyman said.

"He really enjoyed his spell there last term and was a big crowd favourite, so the move is good news for everyone."

Riera played just twice for Sunderland since joining in 2006 but racked up 24 appearances in the SPL with Falkirk, scoring two goals in the process.

His return comes after manager John Hughes told The Falkirk Herald that he was exactly the kind of player he wanted at the club, and that he would be putting his case to the board in order to retain Riera's services.
