WANDERING striker Colin Cramb is to add East Stirlingshire to his long list of clubs next season.
The 33-year-old has agreed a deal after rejecting new terms with First Division Stirling Albion and will sign once his current contract expires.

Shire will be Cramb's 17th club as a player, in a career that has seen him ply his trade in Scotland,
England and Holland.

He will also become a member of an exclusive band who have played for every club in the district, having previously had spells at Falkirk and Stenhousemuir (pictured below).

His reputation as a goalscorer is what makes his capture a highly-prized one for Shire, but he has also gained notoriety as being difficult to handle.

And boss Jim McInally is well aware that the striker is not everyone's cup of tea.

"A lot of people think of him as a controversial figure," he said.

"But I certainly know him very well from his time at Stirling Albion.

"I tried to sign him for Morton in the last winter transfer window and although he has had his problems with injuries he is also a guy we know can bag goals."

McInally doesn't think the player's recent injury problems or his fall outs with authority at other clubs makes his signing a gamble.

"It's all about how you man manage him," he said. "Apart from the last season at Stirling Albion he has been relatively injury free.

"People will tell you this and that about him, but we think we know him well enough that we believe he will do us a turn."

Shire have also snapped up goalkeeper John Hillcoat from Stenhousemuir.
Like Cramb, he has seen service at a number of different sides over a long career but failed to establish himself at Ochilview after injury ruled him out for a substantial part of last season.

"We really needed an experienced goalkeeper and John certainly comes into that bracket," said McInally.

"He has great enthusiasm and is a good guy to have around the dressing room. We are sure he will do well for us and look forward to him coming here."

A third new signing to put pen to paper is Dundee United reserve team midfielder Sean Anderson.

The 19-year-old has spent the last season playing SPL Reserve League football after joining the Tannadice club from Celtic, where he came up through the youth ranks.

Meanwhile, McInally has spoken to most of last season's squad about their futures. So far, Derek Ure, Marc McKenzie and Dean Richardson have accepted new contracts to keep them at the club until May 2009.
They join Andy Rodgers and club captain Andrew Brand, who are on two-year deals.

But stalwart defender Carl Thywissen won't be signing on for a fifth season. The popular Norwegian has told Shire he is leaving Scotland in August to live in Sweden.

A number of fringe players have been released including keeper Greig Mitchell who had one night of glory in the cup-tie against Rangers at Ibrox. The others on the free transfer list include those players signed last summer to play in the Reserve League Cup.
