After last week's 1-1 draw with Stranraer, he told Heraldsport that only six games won there all season was just not good enough.
"We will have to change that quickly if we are to get into a play-off position," he said.
"It was very disappoint
ing not to beat Stranraer, but I thought it was a poor performance from both sides and we definitely have to do better if we are to achieve our aims."
After hosting Albion Rovers this weekend, the Warriors visit Dumbarton on Tuesday before taking on Shire at Firs Park the following Saturday – a series of games that have to be won if the Warriors are to get into a play-off place.
And full back Willie Lyle is conscious of the challenge. "There is no point in beating the Fifers just to lose games at home against lesser sides," he said. "We all want to win promotion and the next three games – starting with Albion Rovers on Saturday – are vital.
"They had a great result last week, beating Arbroath 4-1, and will come here on a high. But, after defeating the league leaders, we feel we are capable of winning against anyone in the league and we will take that into this game."
Ross Hamilton played in a bounce game on Tuesday yet is rated doubtful for Saturday. Steve Ferguson is definitely out but, apart from long-term casualty Tam Murdoch, the Warriors have a full squad available for the Rovers game.
