FALKIRK missed the chance to move off the bottom of the league when they went down heavily to Dundee United this afternoon.

Goodwillie 29, Daly 45, 57, 88

A mistake by Brian McLean, who later went off with an ankle injury, gifted Robert Goodwillie the opener after 29 minutes.

John Daly lobbed in the second just before the break, added a third on 57 minutes and then completed his hat-trick with a header two minutes from time.

Pedro Moutinho's injury time header from Jack Compton's cross was litte consolation for the Bairns.

A win for Falkirk would have lifted them to 10th in the table but they remain bottom, a point behind Kilmarnock.
