FALKIRK have secured the signing of Burton O'Brien on a free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday.
The former Scotland under-21 midfielder passed a medical earlier today and put pen to paper on a three year deal for the Bairns.

O'Brien (27) began his career at St Mirren before moving south to Blackburn Rovers for £300,000.

After one appearance at the Premiership club he moved back north to sign for Livingston, playing nearly 100 times during their successful Premier League spell and League Cup win.

In 2005, he moved back to England to join the Owls, where he again approached a century of appearances over three years.

After signing, O'Brien said: "The facilities here are second to none. I think the club, will be first and foremost pushing to get into the top six, but I would like to see us pushing to get a little higher than that."
