Shoppers can vote for their favourite Howgate store – and help them pick up an award.
This is an opportunity to say a huge thank you to the staff who make shopping a great experience, going that extra distance to ensure you get the products and goods you want.
The Howgate has teamed up with The Falkirk Herald to recognise and celebrate successful local retailers with the launch of The Howgate Retailer Awards 2012.
Small businesses will be up against the large multi-nationals, but one thing is for sure, they’ll all want to win the coveted prizes.
And the people who matter most, the customers, are being given a chance to choose the winners.
Awards will be presented at an event later in the year.
There are a total of eight awards up for grabs, voted for by shoppers and Herald readers:
Best Health and Beauty
Best Customer Service
Best Small Retailer of the Year
Best Large Retailer of the Year
An additional three awards will be voted for by retailers within the Howgate:
Best Store Manager of the Year
Best Employee of the Year
Best Retail Presentation
Welcoming the launch of The Howgate Retailer Awards 2012, general manager Suzanne Arkinson, said: “These offer a unique opportunity to award and thank our retailers who have provided excellent service to shoppers throughout the year. With glittering trophies up for grabs, these awards will succeed in shining the spotlight on those stores who have established strong relationships with Falkirk’s shoppers and really taken the time to offer exceptional customer service.
“We expect the competition to be fierce, so if you’ve got a favourite store - get voting.”
Colin Hume, Falkirk Herald editor, said: “We are delighted to be involved in these awards which recognise good customer service and gives everyone a chance to get involved.
“The Howgate is at the heart of the town and this is a chance for the whole community to get involved in deciding on the winners.”
All those who vote will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Howgate Gift Card.
Entry forms are available from the Help Desk in The Howgate, as well as being printed in this week’s Falkirk Herald and next week.
In-paper voting closes on February 17 and via the Help Desk on February 24.
