The wedding of Sharon Nelson and Iain Wallace.
The couple: Iain (26) is a mechanical fitter from Slamannan and Sharon (26) is a senior revenues assistant with Falkirk Council. They live in Falkirk with their husky/alsatian Brian.
How they met: They met when they were both pupils at Woodlands High School and have been together since they were 13 years old.
The proposal: They were in Glasgow having lunch at House for an Art Lover when Sharon said she's always wanted to get married there. Iain responded by telling her to ask when the next available date was! They then designed a ring at Colley's Jewellers in Falkirk.
The wedding: They were married on September 17 at House for an Art Lover. The entire day was perfect and they couldn't have asked for better, with the place immaculate despite the Pope's visit to adjacent Bellahouston Park the day before.
The wedding party: Bridesmaids were Kirsty Turner, Jennifer Ure, Andrea Smith and Lesley Robertson. Iain's three brothers, Jim, Garry and David, were the best men and Jim's daughter's Lauren and Lainie were flowergirls.
The dress: Sharon wore a raw silk dress by Justin Alexander with a strapless neckline and very full, ballgown-style skirt and a blue sash. The bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses with flower corsages and all the boys were in Wallace tartan kilts.
The honeymoon: The couple went to Las Vegas for 10 nights staying at the Bellagio.
Thanks: Thanks to Sharon's parents Jane and Tom Nelson and Iain's mum, Janet Wallace. Also thanks to the minister – and Iain's gran – Flora Hoggan and to all the guests for their gifts.
