The wedding of Ashley Miller and Darren Asquith
HOW THEY MET: The couple met through work and got to know each other over time.
THE PROPOSAL: Darren popped the question while the couple were enjoying a camping holiday in North Uist a few years ago. It came as a complete surprise to Ashley, but she was delighted to accept and loved the beautiful engagement ring that Darren had picked.
THE WEDDING: The wedding was held at Orocco Pier in South Queensferry on January 28. There were 51 guests for the service and a total of 92 in the evening. The couple had a great day and the weather was lovely for January. Ashley said her highlight was the service and looking out at the view.
THE WEDDING PARTY: Ashley’s bridesmaids were her best friend Ashley Oliver and her 13-year-old niece Robyn Moodie. The couple’s daughter Freya (2) was the flower girl. The best man was Darren’s brother Mark.
THE DRESS: Ashley’s dress was a vintage fitted gown and she also wore a fur wrap.
THE HONEYMOON: The couple spent a week in Skye and again were very lucky with the weather which was glorious.
THANKS: Special thanks go to the parents, Darren’s mum Loraine Asquith, and Ashely’s parents Morag and Alan Miller.
