The heavy rain is continuing to cause problems across the Falkirk area with flooding now the main concern.

Some roads have been closed with police attending at various locations to redirect traffic.

The downpour has also seen the River Carron burst its banks, causing the B905 between Larbert Cross and Checkbar to be shut.

The latest list provided by police of roads in the area shut is Stirling Road between Camelon and Larbert, the A883 between Camelon and Bogton and the M9 southbound between junctions 9 and 11 (delays northbound)

Several sports fixtures have been postponed and there are inspections at other grounds but Falkirk FC have confirmed that their home match with Livingston will go ahead.

Police have advised people not to travel unless its absolutely necessary.
