Breast Cancer Care is looking for people to help raise funds by taking part in the first ever Glasgow at Night Pink Ribbonwalk.

Walkers are invited to take on a 5, 10 or 20 mile Pink Ribbonwalk on Saturday June 25 which will raise badly needed funds to help fight the disease.

The walk will take in some of the historic and contemporary highlights of the city including the Clyde Arc (squinty bridge), Kelvingrove Art Gallery, and the Royal Concert Hall.

This year, over 1,000 people living in Greater Glasgow will receive the devastating news that they have breast cancer, but with peoples help the charity can continue to offer them vital care, support and information, every day, from day one.

Emma Claridge, Pink Ribbonwalk manager for Breast Cancer Care, says: “We’re really excited to introduce our first ever Glasgow at Night Pink Ribbonwalk in June. We can’t wait to catch up with some familiar faces that took part in the Scone Palace walk last year and welcome the new walkers joining us in Glasgow this year; it will be so much more than just a night out.

“On the night you’ll be cheered along the way, get to add your personal message to the ribbon tunnel and receive a goody bag and a tasty hot meal at the finish. You will also be given a medal and t-shirt as a souvenir of the walk. And best of all, you will make a real difference for everyone affected by breast cancer.”

The shorter route is open to families so it’s a day out the whole family can enjoy together.

The Pink Ribbonwalk registration fee is £30. Sign up now at www.breastcancercare.org.uk/ribbonwalk
