Police in the Forth Valley area are looking for motorists who may have witnessed a four vehicle collision on the M80 near Haggs this week.

The incident happened at 3.30pm on Wednesday, July 13, near the junction with the M876, where it joins the M80.

A blue Volkswagen Golf stopped on the outside lane of the motorway near the collision and a silver vehicle similar to a Ford Mondeo or Vauxhall Insignia also stopped.

A man came out of the silver car, before returning to the vehicle with two other men and drove off.

No one was seriously injured in the collision.

Sergeant Ruth Aitchison, of the road policing unit in Stirling, said: “We’re eager to trace the driver of the silver car that stopped near the incident. If any passers-by witnessed this, or if anyone has any relevant information, please contact us.”

Those with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101.
