We’re up and running with our Longest Day ... now it’s your turn!

Our Summer of Love campaign has caught the imagination of businesses across the district - but today it’s the turn of readers can join in the fun.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been urging people to help the Falkirk area’s economy by spending their money in local shops and restaurants.

And to provide an extra boost we’ve been offering some great advertising options to help firms as they take advantage of the green shoots of recovery.

Now we’re focusing on all that’s good in our community in a unique project timed to coincide with the Longest Day.

We’re going to be out and about throughout the day shooting videos of everything from sunrises to people walking in our parks.

This video represents the opening shots in the initiative ... now it’s your chance to add to it.

All you need to do is take a short video clip - 20 or 30 seconds on a mobile phone will do - and send it to

www.falkirkherald.co.uk.

We’ll feature as many as we can on our website at www.falkirkherald.co.uk and you can also follow what we’re up to on Twitter using the hashtag #longestlocalday.

As it’s a project to mark the Longest Day, all videos must be taken today and, because we want to have them online this evening, they need to be with us no later than 2 p.m.

Go on, make sure you make you mark in our Longest Day!
