There's fun to be had on the Bespoke bike trails on Callendar Estate this Sunday

A summer family fun day around the bike trails of the picturesque Callendar Estate on Sunday.

The Central Scotland MTB Meetup Group has organised guided rides around the well known trails for children and adults of all ages and abilities – all you need is a bicycle in good working order to complete the routes.

The day will start at 9.30 a.m. at the visitor centre at the Greenrig car park at Lochgreen Road near Canada Wood and will run until 2 p.m.

The trails, operated and maintained by Bespoke Community Development Company, have different levels of difficulty with the Green and Blue ones suitable for any age or ability; reasonable fitness is required for the Blue/Red, approximately one hour ride; other trails require a good fitness level and take 90 minutes to explore the alternative routes.

Participants should bring their own food and water, although refreshments and facilities are available at the visitor centre, which also has bike hire and repair facilities.

A helmet is also compulsory for all riders, suitable clothing for the weather and gloves are recommended, especially for children.
