Parish Church

Last Sunday’s serivce was conduced by the Rev. Monica MacDonald. On door duty was Janette Baird. Scripture readings were by Lord Westerlea. The service began with a lovely solo by Grace Douglas. The Summer Fun Club are holding activity days on Monday and Tuesday, August 10 and 11 in the Bowling Club, from 10am-2pm. All children enrolled for school and up to P7 will be made very welcome. Registration forms are available from Linda’s Shop or telephone 851680. The ladies from the Friendship Group enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Dutch Inn last Wednesday, the group will resume again in August. The Foodbank is still ongoing and is in need of toiletries as well as food, items can be brought along any Sunday. Anyone requiring the services of a minister, should contact the Rev. Angling Club

Permits to fish on the River Avon for season 2015 are now on sale. They are available from Linda’s Store (Slamannan); Rod and Creel (Carronshore); Go Fishing (Grahams Road, Falkirk) and also in Maryanne’s Alterations (Bo’ness), Linlithgow Post Office, Curries Printers in Broxburn and Livingston Angling (Houston Industrial Estate).
