Parish Church

Last Sunday’s service was conducted by Rev. Helen Cook. Bible readings were by Ray Buchanan and Charlene Condeco. On door duty were Charlene Condeco and John Johnstone. Rev. Cook thanked John McGarry for providing the music while our organist Elizabeth Farley is on holiday. Memories DVDs are still available from Linda’s shop or contact Janette on 01324 851680. Centre Committee

We are looking for keen, eager and positive people to be on our committee. If you are planning to be an active member in the committee or if you want to know more then please come along to the committee skills workshop on Wednesday, September 3 from 6.30-8.30 p.m. in Slamannan Community Centre. A crèche will be available if required. Please confirm your attendance with centre staff prior to Monday, August 25. Our expected date for an AGM will be Wednesday, September 17.

Angling Club

Permits to fish on the River Avon for season 2014 are now on sale. They are available from Linda’s Store (Slamannan); Rod and Creel (Carronshore); Go Fishing (Grahams Road, Falkirk) and also in Maryanne’s Alterations (Bo’ness), Linlithgow Post Office, Curries Printers in Broxburn and Livingston Angling (Houston Industrial Estate).
