SWI Meeting

We now have a revised name of our Institute. We will now be known as the Scottish Women’s Institute. The word Rural has been taken out to widen the appeal of the organisation and hopefully encourage new members.

Our 63rd birthday party was held on Wednesday, April 1 in The Abbotsinch Hotel, Grangemouth and was well attended. Following the cutting of the cake and our lovely meal we spent the evening with games and dancing, the music was by Mr George Forrester. A good time was had by all and we look forward to our 64th birthday next year. The Summer Outing will be on Saturday, June 6 and we are going to the Lake District. There are still seats available on the bus for anyone who would like to go.
