Shieldhill teens upset domestic bliss

A FAMILY is considering moving home because teenagers are using a path that runs past their house as a drinking den.

Every weekend youths gather at Drove Road, just off Easton Drive in Shieldhill, and leave the area littered with bottles, cigarettes and

litter.

One angry resident claims things are getting so out of hand that he and his family want to move from the area.

Robert Wilson, who didn't wish to give his address for fear of what the teenagers would do, said Shieldhill has been known as an underage

drinking hotspot for years.

Since the path was created, it has become a new place for the youngsters to gather.

Mr Wilson said the final straw came during the snowy weather on Monday,

November 29, when he witnesses a large group of schoolchildren racially

abusing his neighbours.
