Parish Church

Worship last Sunday was conducted by Mrs Amanda MacQuarrie assisted by Rev. Ray Thomson when the Sacrament of Holy Communion was celebrated. Callan Wilson, the infant son of Gayle and Steven Wilson, was recently baptised and welcomed into the family of the church by Rev. Kay Brown. Worship this Sunday will take place at the usual time of 10 a.m. and will be led by the Elders. Sunday School children meet in the church hall at 9.45 a.m. Sunday morning services are recorded and a CD is available for anyone who is housebound or unable to attend church. Community Council

Shieldhill & California Community Council’s next meeting and AGM will be held in the Community wing, next to Shieldhill Primary School on Thursday, September 25 at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome if you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.

Gospel Hall

Timeout-14, the monthly Friday programme for boys and girls, is on holiday. The Christian gospel will be preached on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. (note time) when the speaker will be Mr John Currie from Kennoway. All are invited to come and hear this important message. The Mums and Tots resume on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m., with play facilities free, and tea and coffee available. Everyone is free to come and go as they please.
