Rev. Louise McClements conducted the service last Sunday when Charlie and Cameron, daughter and son of Steve and Deborah Muir were baptised. The Palm Sunday service on March 29 will be at the usual time of 10 a.m., children and apprentices meet in the hall at 9.45 a.m. Banner/Craft Group meet on Friday from 2-4 p.m. All welcome. Braes area Holy Week services are in the following venues: Monday, March 30, Slamannan Bowling Club; Tuesday, March 31, Wallacestone Methodist Church; Wednesday, April 1, Polmont Old Parish; Thursday, April 2, (Maundy Thursday), Laurieston Parish Church; Friday, April 3, Brightons Parish Church (Good Friday). All services start at 7 p.m. Sunday services are recorded and a CD is available for those who are housebound or unable to attend church. Shieldhill & California Community Council’s next meeting will be held in the Community wing, next to Shieldhill Primary School tonight (Thursday) at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome - if you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.
Shieldhill Primary School is hosting a Farmers Market tomorrow (Friday) at 10 a.m. The children are busy making items to sell at their Market Stall on the day. the market will take place in the library.

Timeout-15, the weekly programme for boys and girls, continues on Friday at 6.30 p.m. with a programme of choruses, quizzes, a Bible story, and juice and biscuits. All children are invited, with mums and dads as well. The Christian Gospel will be preached on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. (note time) when the speaker will be Mr Fraser Munro from Kennoway. All are invited to come and hear this important message. The Mums and Tots continues on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. with free play facilities for children and tea and coffee on supply for the parents.
