Parish Church

Last Sunday’s service was conducted by Amanda MacQuarrie with Graeme Duncan, our missionary partner from South Africa, also taking part in the service. Worship this Sunday will take place at the usual time of 10 a.m. The banner/craft group resumes on Friday, August 1 at 2 p.m. in the church hall. The 1st Shieldhill Brownies will be holding an annual general meeting to launch the Shieldhill Butterfly Project on Tuesday, August 12 at 7 p.m. in the church hall. This is a public meeting where plans for the garden area will be outlined and more information will be available about this exciting venture which will benefit our church and community. All welcome. Sunday morning services are recorded and a CD is available for anyone who is housebound or unable to attend church. Gospel Hall

Timeout-14, the monthly Friday programme for boys and girls, will be held on Friday at 6.30 p.m. All boys and girls invited. The Christian gospel will be preached on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. (note time), when the speaker will be Ken Munro from Ballingry. All are invited to come and hear this important message. Community Council

Shieldhill & California Community Council’s next meeting will be held in August and there will be no meeting held this month. The last month has been blighted by bad odours inconveniencing the residents. Should this reoccur, please contact Environmental Health at Falkirk Council or SEPA.
