Parish Church

Last Sunday, Amanda MacQuarrie’s last Sunday with us, the service was conducted by both Rev. Louise McClements and Amanda MacQuarrie. Amanda was presented with flowers after the morning service and a gift at the afternoon tea. This Sunday the Communion service will be at the usual time of 10 a.m. Children and apprentices meeting in the church hall at 9.45 a.m. Banner/Craft group meet on Friday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the church hall. This will be the last meeting before the Christmas break. The group will resume in the New Year on January 9. The guild outing to the theatre is on Saturday, December 6. On Sunday, December, 7 at 7 p.m. There will be an evening of Christmas music presented by Sophie and Friends. Refreshments will be served and all donations will be shared between Blackbraes and Shieldhill Church and Muiravonside Church. The Guild Christmas party is on Wednesday. The charge for the party is £3 and please bring a gift to the cost of £5. At the recent church brunch £649.04 was raised for church funds.Thanks to all who helped in any way. Sunday services are recorded and a CD is available to all who are housebound or unable to attend church. Gospel Hall

Timeout-14, the programme for boys and girls, continues on Friday at 6.30 p.m. with choruses, quizzes, a Bible story and biscuits and juice. All boys and girls are invited, with mums and dads as well. The Christian gospel will be preached on Sunday at 3.30 p.m. (note time) by Mr Kerrell Banks from Glenburn. All are invited to come and hear this important message. The Mums and Tots continues on Wednesday morning at 9.30 a.m. with play facilities free and tea and coffee available.
