Braveheart

Friendly Bonnybridge walkers leave from the Royal Hotel at 10.30am every Wednesday. You have a choice of an hour walk or a slower 30 minute walk amongst many marvellous paths. Come along and meet our Walk Leaders and some welcoming faces, where you can enjoy a chat over tea and cake in the cafe afterwards. For more information please call (01324) 673703.

Parish Church

The service last Sunday was conducted by the Rev. Louise McClements. This Sunday’s service will be at the usual time of 10 a.m., children and apprentices meeting in the church hall at 9.45 a.m. The Banner/Craft Group meets on Friday, from 2-4 p.m. in the church hall. All are welcome. Sunday services are recorded and a CD is available for those who are housebound or unable to attend church. LOL 231

Gillespies True Blue LOL 231 a will hold an anniversary dance on Saturday in the Welfare Hall, Shieldhill. In attendance will be SYD Band and Thornlie Boys. It all starts at 7.30 p.m. and you can pay at the door. All welcome.

Community Council

Shieldhill and California Community Council’s next meeting will be held in the Community wing, next to Shieldhill Primary School on Thursday, April 30 at 7.30 p.m. All are welcome - if you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.

Gospel Hall

Timeout-15, the weekly programme for boys and girls, resumes on Friday at 6.30 p.m. with a programme of choruses, quizzes, juice and biscuits. All children are invited, with mums and dads as well. The Christian Gospel, with the Easter emphasis, will be preached on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. (note time) when the speaker will beMr Derek Paton from Hamilton.
