Shieldhill & California Community Council’s next meeting will be held in the Community wing, next to Shieldhill Primary School tonight, Thursday, June 26 at 7.30 p.m.

A presentation will take place for plans being developed to improve the West End Park in Shieldhill. Central Scotland Green Network Trust have been asked by the Shieldhill Youth Community Hall Project to help create an area of green space for all to enjoy. They are keen to share some of the ideas generated to-date and hear peoples’ views on how the site can best be improved to make a park that is enjoyed, valued and cared for. All are welcome - if you have any issues you wish to raise or highlight please attend.

Gospel Hall

Timeout-14, the monthly Friday programme for boys and girls, is on this Friday at 6.30 p.m.. All children, and parents, are invited. The Christian gospel will be preached on Sunday at 6.30 p.m. (note time), when the speaker will be Charles Wade from Longridge. All are invited to come and hear this important message. Parish Church

Last Sunday’s service was conducted by Rev Louise McClements. During the service the Sunday School prizegiving took place and a slide presentation of some of the Sunday School activities throughout the year was shown. Worship this Sunday is at the usual time of 10 a.m. The banner/craft group meets tomorrow (Friday) at 2 p.m. in the church hall which will be the last meeting until August 1. The Annual Joint Service will take place on Sunday, July 6 at 10 a.m. at Blackbraes and Shieldhill Church when we will be joined by our friends from Muiravonside. Sunday morning services are recorded and a CD is available for anyone who is housebound or unable to attend church.
