Children’s faces were almost as bright as town centre Christmas lights when Santa Claus paid an early visit to Grangemouth.
The big man in red was the star attraction in Grangemouth on Saturday afternoon, when he hooked up with his reindeer and took part in a festive parade.
Youngsters and the young at heart lined Grangemouth’s La Porte Precinct to catch a glimpse of Santa and perhaps put forward a personal plug for the present of their dreams.
Musical entertainment accompanied the spectacle and was provided by the Forth Bridges Accordion Band, who laid down a selection of yuletide classics to get everyone in the mood for the run up to December 25.
When they weren’t pulling Santa along the streets, the reindeer were living it large in a pen, munching away at some tasty hay and enjoying some attention from youngsters before they flew off back North.
Santa, meanwhile, was able to have some one-to-one sessions with local youngsters and make some last minute adjustments to the updated Christmas wish list.
Falkirk Delivers, which has a direct line to Santa’s North Pole workshop, organised the successful event.
