Referendum Day: Falkirk turnout revealed to be 88.7 per cent

Counting is still going on in Grangemouth Sports Complex but it’s been revealed that nearly 90 per cent of the electorate voted.

Presiding Officer Rose Mary Glackin made the declaration at around 1.50 a.m. that the turnout was 88.7 per cent.

It means that 108,626 votes are now being counted before it can be revealed if Falkirk district has favoured Yes or No.
