Community Council

The next meeting of the Reddingmuirhead and Wallacestone Community Council will be on August 14 at 7.30 p.m. in Reddingmuirhead Community Hall, Shieldhill Road, Reddingmuirhead. Issues regarding raw sewage processing in the braes area will be discussed.All welcome.

Free Colliers

The next meeting is tonight (Thursday) at 7.30 p.m. and will be in the Senior Degree, all brethern welcome. The Brethern of the Free Colliers would like to express their gratitude and thanks to all the members of the public who turned out to support the Free Colliers on our Annual Demonstration, on a truly inclement day.

Girls’ Brigade

All sections of our company start back on Wednesday, August 20. Explorers (Aged 4-P3) from 6-7.15 p.m., Juniors (P4-7) 6.15-8 p.m. and Brigaders (S1-6) from 7.30-9 p.m. We meet in the Methodist Church in Reddingmuirhead. All the staff are looking forward to seeing our existing members again and welcoming new ones of all ages. We offer fun badgework, outings and trips, sleepovers, entering into local and national competitions and playing an active part in our organisation. For our older members, we offer Leadership qualifications, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and Queen’s Award. Come along and give us a try! Charlie Baillie and Bill Thompson are the gentlemen waiting to heartily welcome you to worship on Sunday morning. Leading the service will be Mr Willie Lochhead from Armadale. Have a convivial time with your friends after the service over coffee/tea.
