Readers asked for views on future of Herald

Readers will get a chance to have their say on the future look of The Falkirk Herald on Thursdday.

For more than a year, we have been gathering people’s opinions on the paper through a series of surveys and events.

And now we’re going public with some of the options at a special event in Falkirk’s Howgate Shopping Centre on July 21.

We’ll be based in units opposite River Island from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., conducting a short survey on some possible designs.

Everyone who takes part will get a free goody bag and, if you can spare a few minutes to take part in one of our reader panels on the day, then we’ll treat you to a cup of tea or coffee from the Howgate cafe.

Members of our editorial staff will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have and explain in more detail some of the changes being considered.

Herald editor Colin Hume said: ‘‘We’ve been delighted with the response to our previous requests for your views and will be addressing the points made when we finally unveil our new-look Falkirk Herald, hopefully towards the end of the year.

‘‘We are determined to keep producing a paper worthy of our loyal readership.’’
