Over 250 eager shoppers queued up for this morning’s opening of the first Aldi store in the district.
Manager David McKendry and his 24 staff presented ‘golden tickets’ to the first 100 through the doors to get goody bags and prizes.
The store in Redbrae Road, Camelon, is part of the latest expansion across the country by the discount food retailer.
Today also marked the opening of the company’s 500th store in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.
Kathyrn Flanagan, Aldi area manager, said: “After six months of preparation, my team and I are looking forward to welcoming customers into new Aldi store in Falkirk.
“Aldi now has a significant presence across central Scotland, and our team are really looking forward to opening the doors to the people of Falkirk.”
