Princess Royal arrives at Strathcarron Hospice for annual visit

Anne, Princess Royal, has arrived at Strathcarron Hospice this morning for her annual visit.

The 12th-in-line to the throne arrived in Fankerton at 10.30 a.m. where she was greeted by invited guests and welcomed to the health facility by chief executive Irene McKie.

Princess Anne was accompanied by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk, Jamie Parker.

The pipes and drums of Alloa Bowmar Pipe Band provided a musical welcome for the royal party.

The princess will tour the hospice and speak with staff and patients before departing at 1 p.m.
